Recommended Posts

Heading over to England for the semester...I'm obviously planning on taking full advatage of teh club scene.

I'm thinking about hitting up Fabric this coming week for Sasha. Just trying to get a heads up about how they do things over there....what time to get there, closing times, other places to hit up, places to avoid, etc.... Thanks...

PM me with your email, I'll send you some fairly useful links. As far as Fabric, it closes at 5AM Saturdays and 7AM Sundays, usually. Also, as far as messageboards to keep up with the scene in London, try this one:

http://bedrock.org.uk/socialise

Nowhere near as many people post there as here, but it can be useful.

The second most popular club in London now is The End. They bring in Laurent Garnier, Layo and Bushwacka, Derrick Carter, Plump DJs, DJ Sneak, Steve Lawler on a regular basis.

Bedrock is also great, but that's not every month. The next Bedrock party with Diggers is in February. Best party night IMO is Tyrant at Fabric, which is once a month. Garnier is also not to be missed.

Other clubs in London include Cargo, Junktion, Ministry of Sound, Turnmills. There are smaller parties here and there also.

For bars, go to the Soho area.

I'm living here for at least 2-3 years, so if you have any questions, hollar.

Zeeker, I co-promote the night Junktion that £ddie mentioned in his post. The next party is on Friday 13th Feb with DJ's:

Paul Louth (Bedrock / Wire)

John Iaonnou (Wire)

Martin McNeill

Marc Hasler

9-3.30am @ Tatty Bogle Club, Kingly Court, London W1

Drop me a email on patgoodall@homail.com if you are interested in coming down and we'll sort something out

cheers

Pat

1. it was only exclusively a gay club on saturday mornings, but that party ended a few months ago. Generally the club has a mixed crowd. (if that makes it a "fag" club, well i guess i cant help you if you are that closeminded).

2. Fabric is the only good club on your list. Ministry of Sound is a tourist trap like Webster Hall (saturdays have been improving though). China White & Cafe de Paris have high entry fees (well, for the UK anyway) and stuffy dress codes.

Oh, and good luck finding music at China White or Cafe De Paris that isnt played on the radio.

i dont know anything about CC Club or the Met Bar

MY GOD!!!!!!!

What kinda planet do you live on?!!??!

Since when has Turnmills been a gay club?!?!? They may have gay nights there but that does not mean that the club is strictly a gay club... and if it was, I really dont think that it should be made such an issue of!

Wake up matey!!
