LA's Most Successful Corporation for Nightlife is now its Biggest

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. Latenight powerhouse LALate.com today announced that it now has the biggest following of Southern California residents in latenight activities for a purely net based company.

As the sun sets across the Pacific Ocean every night, whether it's a line of anxious clubgoers entering a Hollywood hotspot, a couple going on their first date hand in hand from an online dating service, two teenagers rolling into a thousand person warehouse party, or patrons walking into a red carpet event, chances are they are in all likelihood embarking on their latenight activity through one family of websites, one family that is now used by more LA residents than any other, LALate.com, that, on a slow day, has a resident signing up every thirty minutes.

LALate is celebrating this achievement with a major party this Friday at the Loews Beverly Hills and the launch of its redesigned website released today at www.lalate.com .

The History behind LALate

The quick and sudden rise to become LA's leading destination for latenight was in fact accidental. As the most successful company on nightlifestyle in LA, LALate was initially launched only as a temporary marketing vehicle for its parent company in 2002. But when LALate.com virtually overnight started receiving countless requests from residents and travelers to LA per hour, the accident was reinvented as viable stand-alone business with LALate being reintroduced in the spring of 2003 to clubgoers. Quickly it became the preeminent authority on nightlifestyle with one of the fastest growing followings of clubgoers in the United States. In a word, as Zagat's is to restaurants and Frodor's is to travelling, LALate is to nightlifestyle.

Initially in 2003, LALate targeted the niche upscale sector of latenight - the VIP events. LALate was the first ever one-stop websites for residents and travelers to LA to get into the most exclusive VIP-only parties listing several dozen events sometimes per night featuring top A+ celebrities, from mansion parties to top LA venues, to red carpet events. Virtually every top celebrity has appeared at a LALate listed party - from rockstars to award winning actors.

Venues & Promoters turning to LALate

But as LALate grew, so did its events and clubgoers, reaching nearly four dozen per week. Not only were its requests from clubgoers staggering but also from promoters. On average, LALate received one request per hour from promoters to have their events listed on LALate.com. LALate became the thrust that made certain venues and killed others. On one respective week, clubogers with LALate complained collectively about inappropriate door policies at a major Hollywood venue. When the pattern repeated itself and the promoter didn't address the concern, LALate yanked its presence out of the venue. Within three months, the venue ailed and was sold.

Venues and promoters through the winter of 2003 turned to LALate to launch their venues. In 2003, LALate was the first to get into the grand openings of virtually every new VIP hot spot in LA including 9000 Lounge, Forbidden City, The Falls, Shelter, and countless others. But what made LALate was its offering of the then number one venue, White Lotus Tuesdays through Thursdays, throughout 2003. Quick to react, by fall 2003, LALate saw Lotus slowing down and quickly looked for the next #1 Venue. Enter, Pearl Restaurant. Today, LALate is the only company to still get clubgoers into Pearl, the now #1 venue in LA, every promoted night of the week. By fall 2003, LALate had expanded to carry non A+ venue events, like a major Penthouse Pet hosted party, incredible warehouse parties with fire dancers and wall climbers, and similar.

LALate launched more new venues than it could keep tract of. Included in them were this Friday's return of the December-launched Gloew at the Loews Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Expansions : Teens

Taping into young adults' need for variety, LALate soon expanded into everything from red carpet parties with Oscar winning actresses, to 18 and over secret thousand person warehouse parties with acts that rival major stadium performances, to Penthouse Pet hosted parties, to networking Hollywood events. Soon the expansion came for LALate that quickly moved into the all ages arena, launching TeenLate.com that has carried some of the best all ages parties ever in LA in the last twenty-four months.

Expansions : Southbay, Orange County

The next expansion for LALate came geographically as LALate started moving in 2004 into Southbay with the introduction of Hermosa Beach's #1 most legendary hotspot and the expansion into Orange County this spring.

How and where to go became the thrust of the Late family of companies by fall 2003. LALate built its nationally reported success upon the happiness its service brings its patrons night after night, publishing the most talked about weekly newsletter in Los Angeles. With a market saturation of readers estimated at over 85% of VIP clubgoers in Los Angeles, more LA residents today look to LALate for its opinion on nightlifestyle than any other authority. LALate's newsletter recently celebrated its 100 edition.

LALate quickly garnered press in the LA Times for its service not just putting a smile on people's faces but also saving lives. LALate allied with organization DDALA.org to prevent drinking and driving.
