While most people were at the JP Pool Party and at Pure the entire week, me and my crew were party hoppin and checkin out DJ's that weve never heard and are fans of production wise. Heres what the weekend looked like. SUNDAYWent to the Stereo Rooftop Party On the Townhouse Hotel. This party last year was one of my Favs cause its only like 100 ppl that the record labels invite. Music Was Supplied by DJ's from STEREO PRODUCTIONS and ROAM PRODUCTIONS. DJ's Were Chus & Ceballos, Asad Rizvi, Mazi, Tania Vulcano, De Loren & Colors, Cannus, John Wander, Michael Anthony & Late Night Sneaky, Sen-Sei (LIVE), David Coleman, George Reasner, Karin Bash Went To Crobar For Erick Morillo that Night and Can honestly say that i was Completely Dissapointed. Erick didnt rock that place like he should have and definately could have. I guess i just expected so much more from him that night. And the P Diddy Thing I was just completely disgusted with. Killed whatever Vibe he had going. After Crobar we hit up ENVY for DT's Bday Bash Part 1. Walked in to Victor Calderone Workin the Shit out of Chus And Ceballos Mix Of "Its Gotta Be"!! WOW!! Got us dancing right away and When DT Got on at like 6-630 He continues to Completely Blow us away. There were alot of Portugese and Spanish DJ's and producers in the house and As of late NYC has lost some respect from international guys. Seemed as if DT was playin for NY and Was Just sayin FUCK EVERYONE..THIS IS HOW ITS DONE! Completely Represented NYC And Showed Everyone why hes the man. At one point it seemed like he was gonna slow it down and close out(@12pm) BUT then he throws on DJ Vibes Mix Of "Resonate" And BAM..Here we goo!! Another highlight of the night was My good friend Sal Basilles "That Sound". Good to see DT Support the NY Producers. Finally was completely exhausted and couldnt move a muscle so we left at @ 130pm! DT Completely Blew All Of Us Away. Couldnt Ask For A Better Set. MONDAYWasnt alot going on during the day so we just rested and hit up Wet Willies for a little while. On the way back from Wet Willies We Stopped by to hear Peter Rauhofer at the A/X Store for a few mins. That night we hit up Steve Lawler @ State(The old SPIN)Also Peace Division was opening up for him but I didnt get to catch them cause we ran a little late. Steve Lawler Played A Great Set. Nice to hear a Different sound go over so well. Place was Packed and didnt really hear many complaints. After Lawler it was Off To ENVY again for DJ Vibe and DT!!!Walked in to DJ Vibe ROCKIN the Place!! WOW! Holy Energy! This Man Plays some NASTYY Tribal and The Basslines on some of these Records is just plain old RIDICULOUS!!DT Goes on At @ 7 I guess and He played well but not nearly as well as the night before. I guess i was just expecting him to be at the same level as the night before but that was just not gonna happen. Ended up leaving there at around 1030 or so. Just Glad I Finally got to hear DJ Vibe! Mans Amazing. TUESDAYWe woke up and Headed over to the KENT Hotel For The IBERICAN SOUND 2004 Pool Party. The Lineup for this was just completely ABSURD! DJ's For this WereDe Loren & Colors, Peter Tha Zouk, David Penn, Oscar de Rivera, Carlos Manaca, Botz + Flydrums, Julian Poker aka Gothek D.C., D' Formation aka Dimas, Simon & Shaker, Adolf Marsan, John Wander, Karin Bash, Sleepyface & DJ BooI got to meet and hear : D-Formation, Simon And Shaker. Adolf Marsan. We Left there a little early cause they had to keep turning the sound down due to complaints. Sucks cause they were playin such great records but with the volume that low you really cant get into it. Great lineup though.Then it was off to the Urban Promotions Pool Party At The Creek. Got there And got to hear Barry Gilbey or MARA which was one of my goals for the week. Must say the man can play. And with the other half of Mara..his wife Sara freestyling over Records you really cant ask for anything more. Also got to Meet Maurell and Fauvrelle. Carlos Fauvrelle will be at Deko Tonight for anyone that wants to check him out. After The Creek We hit up TWIST to go support our boys Mike Mac and Peter Bailey. Got there and the place was slow but EVOLVED was playing so We were completely into it. WOW The music at this place was one of the best nights of music ive ever heard. Lots of Great tribal and progressive house and even some Nice Techno. DJ'S For This Night were EVOLVED, MAURELL & FAUVRELLE, PETER BAILEY, MACALUSO, PILLAVIN & ZIMBARDO. One of the highlights of the night was Peter Bailey droppin DJ Vibes Mix of Resonate and Cranking it at one point and the Subs Cut out!! But it was at a break so when it came back on it sounded like it was supposed to happen. Peter And Mike Mac played Extremely well and really represented NYC. After Twist it was off to support our boy Richie Santana At ENVY. He got on at @ 6 And Even though we wanted to go to Roger S at Space we stayed to show some love for Richie. Richie got on and it was like Instant Energy! The place was not really packed and wasnt moving too much before he came on. Played some Really great Records and got everyone moving! some of the highlights were DJ Vibes mix of " Resonate", Angel Moraes Mix of "Shakedown", Dimas Mix of "Low Frequencies" and Peter Bailey's "Electrified" Only got to play for like an hour and 15 mins but he made the best of it! Then it was off to the Space Terrace for Roger Sanchez!!Cant even start to describe this party. Simply AMAZING. Gives me Chills when i think about it. To no surprise We stayed till Roger Closed it out at @1230. Closed with Another Chance and then played two encores..The David Morales House Track and the Narcotic Thrust " I Like it" Roger got on the mic to a crowd full of cheers and clapping. That was the Last Party I went to. I didnt think anything could top that and I wanted to go out on that note. Missed Carl Cox at Nikki Beach but I needed the rest and just stayed in the last night. One of the Best WMC's Musically Ive gone to. Some really amazing parties, I was blown away by some of these DJ's. Really is a shame to miss some of these parties. So much talent down there to go see. Expected a LOT more out of him. He got a little better torwards the end of the night but i guess he ran out of time. Thank god for Calderone and DT after that @ ENVY. Them two made the night for me.
