braciole
I'm 25 yrs old, married, with a 5 year old daughter and one on the way. I don't have the $$$ to pay $12 for ONE track on vinyl. Don't get me wrong, I like vinyl better, and still buy when I have the extra cash, but I also take advantage of Soulseek & my cable modem. I also like the fact I can get any track without searching a million different record shops, and I also get it WAY before they do
bassboy
Congrats on the family, I respect your situation, but downloading is killing the industry. It's not like we have Britney Spears making 20m that can afford to get fucked, it's a lot of peeps w/ 2 careers that produce on the side and love the music, but they also do it b/c of the $$.... lots of low capital labels out there that support a track, and then everyone plays it w/o buying it. How many more tracks is that label gonna want to support?I'm 25 yrs old, married, with a 5 year old daughter and one on the way. I don't have the $$$ to pay $12 for ONE track on vinyl. braciole
I agree with you 100%. I make my own tracks also, haven't tried to release any yet, but I know exactly what you're saying. With me it's either download half of my shit, or stick with my 10 records a month i usually can afford. I'm not saying it's right, but with the love I have for music, I really give myself no choice.
