I agree, that now, the lighting at Axis is better than Avalon- but I always hated Avalon so I might be playing favorites though. I miss the old Axis though, before they redid it- you could go in sneakers wearing whatever, the music was good (Cox there was incredible) and just dance your ass off. Avalon was always too much of a fashion show, which is good once in a while, but grows tired very quick. I always liked chilling in the mambo lounge in Karma also. I have to agree that Exit kicks ass. schwingep Posted November 2 Report Share Posted November 2 AXIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1Ahhhhh MemoriesI used to be in a heavy metal band back in the late 80's early 90's playing there on Wed nights, that place was my home!!!Also Thursdays was X-night, idustrial and rava shit, it was off da hook, so what did they do to that place?I used to sneak in the back door from Axis over to Avalon when there was something good going on, actually back then it was called Citi.- Pete Okay one funny axis story...I was there on a thurs night with this woman all cracked out, and her ex shows up he's all fucked up on some crazy powder, he's now threatening her life, and stalking her, and almost a major fight started, but we knew security and they pulled him away.But abuot 10 minutes later they come up to us and say we're getting you the fuck out of here. He's on dust and wants to kill you. So they escort us out the back door onto the train tracks and say go!It had to be the funniest thing watching us running down the tracks in a foot of snow and trying to climb the fence to get back to Landsdown street.
