kitty19 Posted June 22 Report Share Posted June 22 depending on which income bracket you're in obviously, but it's about 28% from federal for me, then more for state/local etc... i'd estimate it to be about 30-32%.now for bonuses, holy crap. they take about 47% if you are single, no dependents, etc. but you get most of it back during tax return season. fouroneone Posted June 22 Report Share Posted June 22 It is based on how many dependents you have on your w-4.If you put 0, the most possible amount will be taken out, but you will get a refund at the end of the year.If you put 1 you will have less taken outIf you put 2 you will have a lot less taken out, but you MIGHT owe money at the end of the year.I think you need to have kids to put above 2.
