jeffkaos
I am familiar with the Amazon situationBUT they sell a product and have huge over head and re-invest all their incomeetc...But Napster? they don't sell Ad space (banners) on their site. They don't charge $ for registration yet they sponsored a free Limp Bizkit Tour this summer. You know how much money a tour costs? Where do they get any income. Unless they have some very wealthy backers------------------"Join the Army, meet interesting people, kill them.""If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?""Dancing is a perpendicular expression of a horizontal desire." back2basics
They dont, they are loosing millions by the week (like most internet start-up). They work on the principle that they will and get invesment on that basis. Even Amazon is loosing money.------------------I want to go out blazing not fade away.I can resist anything but temptation. cotoncandydream
Napster wasn't created to make money. This 19 year old guy did created it to be exactly what it is a sharing comunity where you can trade music as users log on to it. They are not losing any money. They bak L.B.'s tour by getting sponsors like all concert promoters do. Like getting a Kappa Sports or Coca-cola. Napster sponsored the tour by recruiting sponsors themselves. And that is one to grow on ------------------Failure is not an Option!!
