I am sure not to miss Zabiela at Sound Bar on Friday but have heard the names Oliver Ho and Blake Baxter who is set to be at Vision on Saturday night. However, I have never heard them spin. Spanks!Blake is old school along the same lines as kevin Saunderson and DJ Bone (Detroit)...but he can be hit or miss - most of the time he is really good,but other times I have seen bad programming and track selection....depends on the day I guess...but I have seen him just destroy places...so its a safe bet. I'll let you know how Sound bar is seeing as though I heard nothing but good things about it.Also, IYO as far as house music, do you think I should check out Jazzy Jeff who is spinning the same night?Jeff is incredible on the turntables...but the house he spins really isn't anything too great (maybe he's progressed in the last year)... for the most part its usually some new mixed with some retro-electro breaking beats...seen him WMC this year and it was okay...for real though that cat can spin some hip hop and beat juggle and scratch like mofo....another iffy deal...for you I would say skip it.
