danihawk Posted August 5 Report Share Posted August 5 I went to Emerald City a couple weeks ago, and I was really surprised to find out that they close at 3:30. People always told me it was afterhours, so I went to other places and then got there around 2:30. But do people actually pay to go there for an hour? I would really like to go earlier b/c it is the only place I really like in Philly, but not if it is empty. If anyone knows what time it gets bumpin there I would appreciate it. BRIANC1046 Posted August 5 Report Share Posted August 5 yes, people pay to go for an hour.. it opens around 10.. but.. people really don't go until 2:00.. place gets good around 2:30.. they serve liquor until 3:00 and close around 3:30..gets packed Fri and Sat.. and they have some good DJ's every now and then.. deenyc22 Posted August 12 Report Share Posted August 12 i played with tigerhook on their opening night july 16th and it was off the hook. crowd is late-arriving but are definitely up for a good time and partying.it's funny cuz around 3 i got the sense this thing could go on for hours and then it ended.hit up deep c at soma monday nights. one of the best parties on the east coast.
