Crobar Nightclub, 530 West 28th St. (bet. 10th and 11th Aves.), doors open at 10 p.m.

Party with the New York Chapter to celebrate the new Best Electronic/Dance Album category; co-hosted by the Producers & Engineers Wing, BPM Magazine and AOL Music. Performances by DJ Paul Van Dyk, DJ/producer Sasha, house music legend David Morales, Ken Jordan of the Crystal Method Alex Gold and a special opening house set by DJ Rap.

September 8th, 2004: New York City: The New York Chapter of the National Academy of Arts & Sciences, Inc & BPM Magazine along with AOL Music, M-Audio and Aurelia Entertainment host a night of Electronic & Dance Music superstars to celebrate the addition of the Best Electronic/Dance Album category to the 47th Annual GRAMMY ® Awards. This event celebrates the dedication of electronic musicians, industry professionals and fans to achieve global recognition for their genre. Electronic artists now have their own home in the music industry's most widely respected organization that has recognized the music of U2, Coldplay, Aretha Franklin, Prince, Aerosmith and countless others.

"It is an honor and a privilege to be involved in such an event which celebrates the recognition of Electronic & Dance Music as an official category for the Grammys," Adds international DJ/producer Paul Van Dyk, "The occasion marks a revolutionary step for our music genre and I am thrilled to take part in such a historic moment."

This past July, BPM Magazine & NARAS hosted a similar event in Hollywood, CA which drew over 2000 attendees. It was the massive success of the first event which led to the decision of creating an even larger scale event in the dance music capital of New York City.
