daprofessional
Even though this is NY and Kerry will probably win anyway, the reason i am voting for Kerry is stem cell research.
howardstone
isn't that when they produce organic vegitables.. a friend of my friend is a lab tech in Florida and he does that, the veggies are like twice the size. There are more chemicals in the veggies but I don't know what all the fuss is about, if someone wants to but them then so be it I say, they are just fruits and veggies. If Kerry is for it then I will probally vote for him too.
tres-b
I happen to agree with you about stem cell research. However, national security and the war on terror are the issues that drive me. I do not trust Kerry to act decisively and do what is right.
obby
Even though this is NY and Kerry will probably win anyway, the reason i am voting for Kerry is stem cell research.I too approve of stem cell research funding and am a Republican but such an issue will not blind me by the fact that we are at war. I believe it is imperative to fund not only homeland security but our troops and intelligence agencies during these times. After all, it's not like Bush is stopping stem cell research. He is just limiting the numbers of stem cells used. The research is still active but limited. If your priority in these times in stem cell research then by all means...we all have our priority and issues.

tres-b
But is it an issue that would change your vote? As I stated b/f I do not agree w/ President Bush on this issue, but it does not swing my vote. It goes in the catagory of pro-choice and the environment. Both important to me, but secondary when we are fighting a war.

fliptoniaaa
i think stem cell research should be made a much bigger issue than what it is!!!!!!!!!!! it should definatly be more important than something like gun issues......medical science is the key to knowing more about ourselves, there is so much potential for great things to be found out about as soon as we start getting in there and being curious with the stuff....but alas its more important to have a gun than it is to further our knowledge of how we work in our bodies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tres-b
So if we were not at war would you vote for bush?I would vote for President Bush over Kerry. If you take homeland security out of the equation, I still feel that Bush is the right choice and Kerry is a poor choice. Why? Kerry has been the most liberal senator of the last 20 yrs. He has never seen a tax increas that he didnt like, he believes in big govt, he is a borderline socialist, and I dont view him as a leader.FYI--I voted for Bob Dole against Bill Clinton, but would have voted for Clinton against George Bush if I had been old enough. I voted for President Bush against Gore b/c frankly I think Algore is a whack job. I am a moderate to slightly liberal on some issues and totally conservative on others.
