eKiTeL
how was that gig in Peru???? reviews, rumors, pics?It was pretty good, a lot of people really liked the music, though some guys kept making hand signals like they wanted it "mas fuerte" but anyway the girls seemed to enjoy it, wasn't sure what to bring, I should have brought a little funky/tribal Techno for the dudes, next time... best comment I got was from this guy who told me he used to live in Germany and my set reminded him of there I'm waiting for photos to be posted by the promoters there, I didn't take anyif you ever go to Lima check out BossaNova, www.bossanovabar.com, the pictures there don't do it justice, the building is all wood inside, over 100 years old, great acoustics properties, very dirty underground vibe, minimal lighting, very cool club, the music is OK, try to go when Nucleus is playing, he closed the party I played at, very cool guy, very professional, and a great DJ, mostly proggy but he does it well, not too boring (I'm not a big prog fan as you may know)cheers!another thing you may already know, but from what I can see the mp3 download business is revolutionizing the Latin American DJ scene, now all these DJ's can get lots of new music without having to pay the high price of vinyl with the exhorbidant charges from "la aduana" on top.... the guys I played with used almost all CD's, they used the turntables only for occasional back spins and scratches...
