exit24e
You have to admit it, if you like it or not. That drugs always have and always will be a huge, possibly the biggest factor in nightlife. Now i know there are certain parties and all that, but i am talking about the majority.
silverbull
I'll agree to youon that one indeed drugs have been on the scene since its creation no doubt. But b4 the drugs were different and used more to continue partying for at least 24 hrs or more. But i ould be wrong aswell since im not literally from that era, but from people i do know and from what i read and hear it seems that way. I love how people in thier 40s and 50s who still dance harded than i do tell me about their experiences at these places crobar and spirit and laugh at what they see and then feel sorry as well. Now from WHAT I SEE with my own eyes is people doin drugs cause they think its cool or think they need to fit it or that its likes getting water at the bar, its just natural. And thats far from the truth so in essence you have people goin to clubs/parties to ONLY do their drugs. And also a very very big reason why i think the scene is hurtingnow and i dont think its has been discussed on this board b4 is that all those DEVOTED, PASSIONATE FANS from like the mid 90s are NOW trying o make something happen for themselves and their careers in the INDUSTRY. So lets say as an example when 200 hardcore fans were out to hear a dj in 2001 now theres like 75 to 100 only out this yr to hear them cause the other 100 have parties of thier own that same night and the crowds are divided. I hope i explained that correctly.
danihawk
You dont have to go all the way to Philly to hear non-stop hip hop. All you gotta do is go to Brooklyn, or LI, or anywhere! I mentioned Philly b/c that's where I grew up...if you're in Brooklyn or LI couldn't you just go to clubs in NYC?
