We are very happy and proud that your music will be appreciated by the millions of people across the planet that listen to house music. Chicago has been spoiled with your talent, and now so can the rest of the world. We also know that this is the first of many many record releases to come. But, since this is the first, Chicago show your love for our very own this Friday!!featuring:Dizzy / doubledownDonald took the West Coast scene by hurricane. As a dj under the moniker Dizzy, and with dreams of production and international club bookings written in permanent ink in the blueprints, Donald came to the realisation; what better way to get yourself gigs and surround yourself with the cream of dance music talent than by promoting your own events. Soon after, Doubledown Productions was born. From the early parties at Sacramento's now infamous Cabinet Shop to the legendary party's Bliss and Gigabeatz, held at the Sacramento's Cal Expo, Donald's positive energy encapsulated the audience and always created the good vibe. Many a dj recognised this passion in Donald and quickly befriended him. As his turntable skills strengthened and his reputation as a hard working member of the electronic scene grew, the pieces of the puzzle started to come together. It was only a matter of time till Donald would take it to the next level and combine his turntable skills and drive to produce with the depth of talent his pool of friends brought to the table.Fries & BridgesWest Coast house with a French twist... The union of two people, continents apart, could be considered fate. In the case of Fries and Bridges , this may certainly be true. The story goes as such.... San Francisco's prodigy Hector Moralez was playing at the legendary Rex club in Paris in October of 2000, and Phil Weeks happened to be out that particular night. Thus began a beautiful friendship, and a synthesis in the recording studio. Hector went back out to Paris in spring of 2001, and they finished several tracks. The buzz, both in Paris and in the Bay Area, inspired them to go as the duo, Fries and Bridges. Their initial release on the prestigious MFF (Music for Freaks) label has put them in the spotlight with djs like Derrick Carter, Diz and Halo.Chris Santiago / ChicagoRecord release with partner Tim Bush aka "Bushido" under the moniker "Santiago & Bushido" on Doubledown Records.
