deepspell Posted January 5 Report Share Posted January 5 Well, I actually had a fun New Years Eve this year, unlike years past where I have either been flying over the holiday (last year I was in the crew van going back to the airport in Lima, Peru on New Years Eve), or sitting at home with no place to go (that was two years ago). This year my social coordinator, Jerry, had three parties lined up for us to attend. We started by meeting at her house: me, Jerry, "Cathy" and "Zoe." Cathy was the designated driver for this leg, so we piled into her car and sang along to cheesy 80s songs on 103.5 Bob FM on the way up to North Quirksville. Party Numero Uno was at two guys' house. There was food and music and plenty of ALCOHOL!!! I was quickly designated bartender when I made my first Lemon Drop Martini and passed it around for a taste. All the girls immediately wanted one. Here's the recipe: ------------------------------------------------------ Queen of Sky's Lemon Drop Martini Ingredients: Lemons (about one per martini) Sugar to taste (1-2 heaping Tablesoons per lemon) Vodka Ice Directions: Squeeze lemons into martini shaker. Add equal amount of vodka and the sugar and some ice cubes and shake it and strain it into a martini glass rimmed with sugar and--VOILA! Great Girlie Drink!
