melichacha Posted November 28 Report Share Posted November 28 Okay, so after my weekend of music and euphoria I returned to my humble college campus, picked up a school paper and lo and behold -- found a column about how teen marijuana use is down and ecstasy use is up. Here are some particular highlights: - Use of X has doubled since 1995... - Trial use of X increased from 7 to 10% over the past year, whereas MJ usage went from 41% to 40% in the same time span. - "The survey showed that more teens were turned off than on by marijuana. 54% felt that smoking pot would make them behave foolishly, up from 51% in 1997."So, what do you make of the shift in drug choice? I think it's funny that they're turning away from pot b/c it will "make them behave foolishly", then turn to X (which I've seen people act funnier on than just about anything else). I am LOVING it out here, there is soooooo much more to do in NYC than there is in Ann Arbor. The club scene is almost nonexistent (Necto's?
