GRAMMY AWARD WINNER PETER RAUHOFER FURIOUS OVER NIGHTCLUB GIG IN

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, USA

Peter Rauhofer, Grammy Award Winner for "Remixer of the Year" was physically

thrown out of the popular late hours club "Two Four Club" in Philadelphia,

Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 25, 2000.

Sources confirm that Peter was scheduled to perform at the "Gay Night" Grand

Opening at Gasoline Nightclub earlier in the evening but due to low

attendance the ownership proposed to send Peter to their other property, The

Two Four Club, and convinced him that a 'gay' crowd will be there to hear

him spin.

When Peter arrived at Midnight no crowd was present & was told at that

moment that the audience will not start arriving till 1:30am. At that

point, Peter

& his entourage began having cocktails at the bar & was then demanded by

management and staff to begin spinning to an empty floor. As Peter refused,

the management became furious & had him removed from the club in the

adjacent alley only to wait for his records to be brought out & then to be

sent back

to NYC without pay.

"I have never experienced this type of treatment in my career & am shocked

to arrive to this city with two empty nighclubs," said Peter "I have been to

Philadelphia before during Philadelphia's Circuit Party weekend last winter

at another nightspot and was treated like royalty." As Peter demanded his

pay, the management refused & then when asked for the owners, he was told

they were unavailable due to a Paul Oakenfold Event at another property they

own, named "Transit Falcon Club".

Sources confirm that Rauhofer was originally booked for "Transit Falcon

Club" & Oakenfold was booked for "Gasoline Night Club", but since Gasolines'

opening a month ago for the underage rave clubgoers had failed, the

ownership had switched venues with the DJ's at the last minute to launch a

'gay format' at Gasoline.

Peter Rauhofer (Club 69) won the 2000 Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year

for Cher's "Believe", Funky Green Dog's "Body", Everything But The Girls

"Five Fathoms", Donna Summer's "I Will Go With You", Whitney Houston's "It's

Not Right But It's Okay", & Madonna's "Nothing Really Matters". Peter says

he plans to play in Philadelphia some time in the future but will never work

for unfamiliar venues again. "I hope people boycott those venues & I still

am shocked for that type of disrespect from staff & management that

obviously don't know the people who make the music".

And they say that Philadelphia is the City of Brothery & Sisterly Love?
