the highlands

The highlands is a great club and holds A LOT of people. But no, they do not have house nights at all. They cater to the masses, so its mostly a top 40/hiphop/r&b mix on any given night.

If you do end up going, try to get on a list that uses the first-floor entrance which is much better than having to wait on the third floor.

i've been there once a year ago.. only one dj with house and it was poop... but the hip hop area was fun after about 10 drinks... expensive and be prepared to force your way in... i had to pull my then boyfriend into the place... must be pushy.. good luck.. there are other fun places to go though... not much into the REAL hollywood peeps...

The highlandsssssssss.

Man .... brings back a lotta great stories. Been there countless, countless times from about 2003 to 2004 (maybe even in 2002? I cant remember... lol a LOTTA times).

Ludacris live (pre Usher boom period)

a couple of big big bashes

bday parties

vip room, not vip room

the loggia, sorta the loggia, not the loggia

the open bar industry events of that time

its hiphop room, then its retro, then its one type of hiphop and the other room is another type -- they did it all

good times  good times.

You know, you can spider this site and look at highlands reviews in the review thread by yours truly. But looking back at it now, my thoughts are the following:

Overall, its a well designed venue. Flow. Floor plan. The patio overlooking the blvd Hearing house music on a balcony over great views.

The people .... ehhhhhh lol ... it was always the place for sand to the sea. Dates always like it - music was good, drinks good.

The halloween party 00000mg. Everyone was about 3/4 naked in these outfits .. whata party. (and the stories damn)

So many stories. So much to tell.

Yeah if you wanta go, its good, go. Theres better. But you always have fun at the Highlands.
