weyes Posted April 7 Report Share Posted April 7 where i've been - it seems as though i've been on hiatus --- again --- but i was just sicksicksick this weekend, and my computer was entirely down for the count from sometime last week until tonight. i'm glad that both of us are up and running again. here's the column:when searching for any kind of new pet, one should check out the local pound first. one might be surprised at the animals that are there; from geese to goats to german shepards, one's new companion might be just sitting there waiting. many people don't want to go to animal shelters because they think the animals will have been abused, be old, or will be aggressive; this isn't true. many animals have just been abandoned or lost, many litters of puppies are found together, and animals are studied by behavioral experts to see if they are fit for adoption at all.tune in tomorrow.
