weyes
when i was a kid, i thought that writing thank-you-notes was silly and phony. the person saw me open the present and i said, "thank you," in person; why should i write a note that i obviously only did 'cause i was forced to?now, however, that i have moved away from my family, while i don't require thank-you-notes, i do want at least some acknowledgement that the gift was received. i don't need fake gushing or anything like that, but i'd like to know that things didn't get lost in the mail!the column for the day: at least give the person a call or an e-mail .tune in tomorrow.
