jimk29
Has anyone ever been on one?what ships?what did you think?
deepspell
Las Vegas at seaships are very "brightly" decorated. Good for couples and family that want to have fun. Food is not bad but there is def. better out there. Ports are not bad either. i give them a 7 overall. I've been on almost all of their ships but my favorite so far is the Carnival Legend. Sails out of new york in the summer. Does eastern carib. Best food out of the fleet too. Ship is HUGE. lots to do. Sailing out of NYC rocks cuz u dont have to fly but you have to book EARLY! Sailings for next summer are already flying.

stymie
Went on a Carnival cruise (no idea which ship) once... out of miami... went to a couple places in mexico then back to key west for a day. I dont think Id go back on a cruise again. If I go to an Island, I go to be a beach bum, snorkel, deep sea fish, dive... explore the island. None of which can be done on a cruise ship. If I want to go to a casino Ill go to foxwoods, if I wanna go to a pool all day Ill go to someones house (the pools at island resorts are 1,000 times better anyways), if I wanna go shopping Ill go to a mall etc. Theres nothing on a cruise ship that I cant do where I live. Yeah the food is great on alot of ships but Ive had food just as good at all-inclusive resorts. Being on a cruise just cuts into my island time too much. And if I wanna have free food and whatnot all day Ill just go to an all inclusive... but get free booze too. The cruise I went on didnt include any booze... lame. To go on a 7 day vacation and only see 3-4 days of Island time is just a waiste of time and money to me.
deepspell
they may have casinos bars, food buff, what else is there?you go to like 3 or 4 different islands during the cruise. you can go on shore excursions. the ship is pretty much empty most of the day when u are in port because everyone is on land doing stuff thats on the island.i agree with stymie tho, no liquor included is def. lame and the worst part of crusing. All inclusive resort food is fucking gross btw......if u want an in-depth look at a particular island.....cruising is not for you. its good to do ALOT in as little time as possible. jimk29
I was thinking about it, but I don't know... can you opt to get liquor included or no?
deepspell
nopeon some of the more luxury ships like Radisson Seven Seas, Windstar, Silversea or Seabourne, you can opt to get a premium bar in your cabin, but on mass market cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Carnival you cant....you have to buy at the bar. and remember, if you guy liquor at the duty free shop on the cruise shit, they hold the liquor for you till you get off. you cant take it back to your cabin... deepspell
although even top shelf shit isnt very expensive on cruises.....wines with dinner are cheap too. I think average for a hieneken is about 4 to 5 bucks and a cognac or a top shelf vodka on the rocks is about 7 to
nutcase34
Absolutely love cruises. Been on a Royal Carribean and a NCL. Going again next xmas. Not sure to where yet...Most likely an Alaskian Cruise.
lolahotass
That's hella gay.yeah it sucks but the cruise line depends on the on-board revenue.....majority of nightclubs don't let you walk in with a bottle, ya know?
Guest onisakura
Id like to organize a group cruise sometime before i leave for NYC.
jimk29
yeah it sucks but the cruise line depends on the on-board revenue.....majority of nightclubs don't let you walk in with a bottle, ya know?Yeah but most restaurants also make you pay for food. The cruise line doesn't, so why should I have to pay for booze?

deepspell
its marketed as "the fun ships" but thats only cuz a different crowd goes on it. Not like a "party crowd" i like to consider em "a rowdy crowd". like as in hammer down 12 shots and act sloppy the rest of the night.... Nah my parents paid for it... at the time it was their biggest and baddest ship that went to that area.

stymie
The thing that sucked the most about the cruise was the pool (and Ive heard the same thing from most people that go on a cruise). The fucking thing was JAMMED all day... the one I went on had 2 pools and they were packed with people from like 9am till sundown. And forget about getting a spot to chill out anywhere near the pool cuz those were always taken by the same people that would steal em at god knows what early hour of the morning. The pool bars were always a mob scene too... crazy bartenders tho... some of em would put all those Cocktail bar scenes to shame.
