blueangel Posted December 11 Report Share Posted December 11 So, Mitchell and I tried to see this movie on Saturday thinking it'll be less crowded since it's opening day was Friday. WRONG!! Saturday was completely sold out . . even the 12:35 a.m. show. So, we managed to book two tickets for Sunday 11:00 a.m. showing which was also SOLD OUT!! I said, " this movie better be worth it!" And the result?This movie was fawkin' AWESOME!!! The fighting scenes were unbelievable, and the cinematography was beautiful!The story line was a bit tricky to understand but I think that's because of the subtitles. Usually when a foreign film is subtitled, it kinda loses the story. However, the two best fighting scenes were between Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Ziyi. Those two women really showed everyone what fighting and martial arts are all about!! Totally KICKED ASS!!If there were anything about the film that I didn't like were that maybe they had a lil' too much flying scenes. But then this is Chinese martial art flick. To tell you the truth I didn't even know he directed this film until I got there. My bf is a huge martial arts fan and he wanted to see it. I didn't know anything about this film . . who directed or who was even in it until I saw the poster in the lobby.It was totally cool!!
