PorterHouse Montreal Reviews!

My first time and Montreal and it was insane.

Got there a little after 1 on Friday and walked around St. Catherine’s Street got some lunch and drank some beers. After that we went to dinner at Guido Angelina’s on St. Catherines. **WARNING** DO NOT EVER EAT AT THAT PLACE. We had some delish meat tortellini in a tomato cream sauce BUT we all eat the same thing and all 3 of us got REDIK food poisoning and were sick all night. And it lasted for a couple days too.

Groovefire RIPPED it at Stereobar and got us all pumped up for Porterhouse upstairs. :dj:

DJ XL came on for a bit after Groovefire and played both mixes of EarthQuake-the crowd went nutts!

Earlier in the night my bottle of Biosilk leaked out a little and the dude who searched me went in my purse could smell it. He could bearly speak English and was like mmm whats that, and I told him it was stuff for your hair so he squirted some in his hand and put it in his hair  It was fucking hilarious. He kept asking me what it was called LOL.

So they don’t allow camera’s in Stereo for some reason and there was total misconfusion with my camera, I thought security took it away but it was in Phils record bag the whole time and I could have been taking pics. So no Porter pics from me. 861.gif

So finally we go upstairs. The decorations were the most creative out of all the Porterhouses I went to.

Eli opened up and killed it as usual. Porter was INSANE for the first 2 1/2 hours-Non stop bombs! Best set I’ve ever heard him play by far. allah.gif

Everyone was dancing their asses off aside from a few breaks we took in LaLa land at the ‘theater’ LOL.

Porterhouse parties keep getting better and better. I can’t wait for the next one.

Saturday we went out to lunch at this place called Rueben’s. The food was incredible. We only got soups and sandwiches but they were awesome. Went back and napped at Toddles hotel for a few hours got up and headed over to Crescent Street. Hit up a few bars, found this kewl lounge-y place called Ice Bar and chilled there for a while till Stymie tried to make out with the Bald Nazi Bouncer and got kicked out LOL. :box:

Got a little silly-drove around in a taxi for a while and then visited with Eli and KARES at their hotel for a bit.

Sunday we went to brunch and headed to the Casino for a while, watched the game and played some slots.

I had the BEST time!! I can’t wait to go back sometime next month or in November. DEF going back for NYE!!

I agree with Cookie! My first trip to Montreal was insane!

We got up to Montreal around 6pm and went to dinner at this little french restaurant in the old city, I wasn't that impressed. We went back to the Delta and took a disco nap, so we wouldn't fade at Stereo.

We left in time to see part of Groovefire's set, but we walked about ten blocks in the wrong direction in the pouring rain before we realized we were nowhere near Stereo. By the time we go there, Phil and Todd were done, but we did enjoy XL!

We walked into Stereo and Eli had the place rockin, there was such a great vibe in that room. Steve came on and IMO, absolutely killed it from start to finish. I danced for what seemed like a really long time, until I needed to rest, so Lauren and I spent the rest of the night perched up on a speaker. Right before we left, Eli played Agent's "Shower of Love", it was the perfect way to end the night for me!

Back at the Delta, we decided champagne was in order. So much champagne the hotel ran out! Anyway, we didn't get up until about 7pm on Saturday. We went to this Italian restaurant around the corner called Bellagio, it was delicious! Then we met Eli and Kares at the Jazz Club, next to the Delta. There was a great band and even more champagne. Continued the party back at the Delta and fell asleep sometime in the early morning.

Overall, it was a great trip! So happy so many of you were there! Can't wait to do it again in the winter!

I too, had to stash the camera in Phil's record bag, but I somehow remembered I had it towards the end of the night! :D
