dgmodel
there are some new plans out now, where you can pay for certain channels instead of having 100's if not a 1000 channels you dont need... i wonder if this will be cheaper or make rates go up??? secondly i wonder if its available in my neighbourhood... would anyone here be interested in having cable like this??? phatman
...that's how it was when cable first came out...you ordered basic and then added certain channels...then it became two or three options period...glad to see theyre taking a step backwards... nomembername
I don't think this is available anywhere yet. Since they have never actually tested it out I still don't think they know what the direct effects it will have on the cable market. Both the small and large channels have tons of issues with this if it ever goes in to place.
DETROIT
the fcc is proposing this as we speak.http://news.com.com/A+la+carte+TV/2100-1038_3-5980800.html
elevatedflow
The real bullshit is that you seem to be forced to pay more and more every year for channels you dont want. The thing is, if you were to be able to choose which channels you want, would the Oxygen channel stand a chance?! Hell no .. so the cable company and the channel would never ever really give in cause EVERYONE would be loosing money .... well except the consumer ....
