Do all of the good clubs have realy tight security, or would it be relatively easy for a bunch of good looking kids - who could look over 21- get in??? But at a lot of places (esp "upscale" joints like Sway, Float, Punch, Veruka, etc. - and yes, I know they're pretentious as hell, but this is just for comparison) they won't ID hard. They're looking for a certain look, which comes before a certain age in many cases. IMO, do yourself a favor and go to Times Square or the Village and get yourself an ID. It may not get you into Juniorverse or SF Saturdays, but it will help out a lot, esp if you dress nicely. Right now, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Vermont are being done all over NYC. They work well. But if you can find a Jersey one, thats even better. But DO NOT get the International Driver License... a friend of mine got thrown out from a bar for that.
