stymie
actually were all wrong... the acidic comment was the worst tho lolCaffeine inhibits an enzyme that is thought to regulate mucosal secretions in your small intestine. Secretions go up, so fluid in your bowel goes up, and if the amount of fluid in your colon is greater than the amount of fluid you can reabsorb, splat, you get diarrhea, or at least looser stools. tastey
caffeine is a stimulant just like Cthat wouldn´t make sense, the digestive system wouldn´t be working very well with a stimulant cause the stimulant is causing fight&fight syndrome aka heightened visual and perception, more blood to the muscles etci´m not sure, but i think it comes down to the sympathicus and antisympathicus.the sympathicus is responsible for fight and flight, keeping you awake and alert, etc. the parasympaticus is responsible for sleep, the digestive system etc... so all in all... everything active=sympaticus, everything passive=parasympaticus.those two are usually in an equlibrium... so when you drink coffee, you will stimulate the sympaticus, but only for a while, because the parasympaticus will put out codeines and other "depressants" to counter the stimuli, and get it down to the equilibrium. that´s the same reasons why when you drink a lot of coffee, it will lose its effect after a few cups and only make you more tired cause the parasympathicus is overdoing it´s job trying to counter the constant stimuli input.so by drinking coffee, as soon and depending on how strong your parasympathicus system reacts you might feel the urge to take a dump because your parasympathicus is basically taking over and overcompensating. tastey
hes wrong, but nice rave post.oh i see, i might be wrong referring to the coffee, that was more or less speculation... definately plays a part in it though, enzymes or not enzymes doesn´t matter, the parasymphaticus plays a role in everything digestive
