Black Box “Everybody Everybody 2006†White ENG 12 JRK002, Soul Central with a chunky, funky discohouse reworking with hooks of the original chorus worked into the production.

Madonna vs Paffendorf “Vogue Cool†White GER 12 – VOGUE007, energetic mashup that takes the instrumentation from Paffendorf’s “Be Cool†and weaves vocal elements from Madonna’s “Vogue†into the production. Very well produced.

Missy Elliot “Lose Control 2006†White USA 12 – LEG011, chunky electro-tinged house rework with the full original vocal worked into the production, flipside has a similar-styled reworking of Michael Jackson’s “Remember The Timeâ€.

Pink Floyd “Another Brick In The Wall 2006†White ENG 12 – PINKF001, solid progressive house reworking of this rock standard.

Trio “Da Da Da 2006†White GER 12 – DAD01, chunky electrohouse reworking of this 80s synthpop classic.

House

Axwell “Watch The Sunrise†Superstar GER 12 – German pressing of this stunning vocal house number from Axwell with a seductive male vocal well supported by the disco-infused orchestration. Includes a remix by 2 Elements that toughens the production and adds a bit of a chunky tribal influence to the orchestration.

Ferry Corsten “Fire†Positiva ENG 12 – UK edition of the latest single from the Dutch master features a solid new tech house reworking by Bush II Bush to broaden the appeal of the track across the spectrum.

Deep Swing “Dance Tonight†Generate USA 12 – Solid new single from Deepswing with an energetic disco-infused orchestration and a powerful, uplifting female vocal worked into the production. Includes a solid remix from Matteo Esse on the flip.

Missy Elliot “Teary Eyed†Atlantic USA 2x12 – club mixes from ATFC, Sugardip, Tiefschwarz, and Maurice Joshua. Styles range from funky Disco House to smoother circuit house to quirkier electro mixes, all featuring Missy’s catchy vocals perfectly integrated into the productions.

Filter Funk “Message In A Bottle†Tiger GER 12 – New 2006 revisiting of the classic by The Police, featuring three solid remixes in a punchy commercial house style a la Eric Prydz, with the original Sting vocals integrated into the mixes nicely.

Haji & Emanuel “Take Me Away†Big Love ENG 12 Part 1 and Part 2 – Classic vocal discohouse production from Big Love with warm house orchestrations, seductive female vocals and solid rhythm lines. Disc 1 features the original and a mix by One51, while disc 2 features a massive mix by Stonebridge and a quirkier reworking by Dave Spoon.

Matthias Heilbronn f/Inaya Day “I Made It†Susu ENG 12 – beautiful new garage cut featuring a solid vocal from Ms Inaya Day supported by excellent seductive house orchestrations. Includes a chunkier “acid mix†on the flip as well as a more mainstream discohouse mix.

LMC f/Rachel McFarlane “You Get What You Give†AATW ENG 12 – cover of a classic vocal track from back in the day with Rachel’s stunning vocals given solid commercial house support in the summery original mix, while a slightly tougher remix from Raul Rincon is on the flip.

Playgroup “Front To Back†Defected ENG 12 Part 1 – Defected changing things up a bit with this release that is definitely not their traditional fare. Dark, chunky tech house production with a hooky rapped male vocal and dripping with funk. Disc one features solid remixes from Todd Terry while disc two sees Kenny Dope fuse the chunkiness of the original to his smoother house style.

Porno f/Hannah Jones “Music Power†Data ENG 12 and C5 – UK edition of this massive house cut fueled by the diva power of Hannah Jones, with the Stefano Noferini mixes from the continental editions paired with new Uk-only mixes by Andy Van (in a bit more disco influenced direction) and Paul Woolford (with a funky UK tech twist).

Pray for More “Love Me Right†Fantastic ENG 12 – Well produced tribal-infused bigroom house production with a massive female vocal full of attitude to add further fuel to the production. Includes a solid remix from Mark Duran on the flip.

Trance & Progressive

Blank & Jones “Revealed†Liquid BNX 12 – new single from the veteran German trance production team with their trademark anthemic melodic orchestrations perfectly demonstrated in this release, with a haunting male vocal integrated perfectly into the production. Flipside mix sees the duo give a more seductive progressive house interpretation of the track, less melodic, darker and more spacious in feel.
