After the success of Club Shelter's WMC debut at Nikki Beach in 2005 with a raw talent line-up including DJ Spinna, Timmy Regisford, Marques Wyatt and Tortured Soul to name a few, NYC's legendary outfit return to Miami to celebrate their 15th anniversary with another super line-up.

Replacing the white sands of Nikki Beach with the polished hardwood floors of Shine, (located in the basement of the Shelbourne Hotel) and boasting the brand new Integral (formerly Phazon) sound system which is actually the sister of Club Shelter’s own rig, they get ready to deliver yet another memorable event of superb music, dancing and mayhem.

Getting back to the basics, or Underground as we know it, honoring the roots of Shelter music and it’s original contributors Shelter start off the proceedings late afternoon inside the Lounge with the eclectic sounds of Mia Friday, a name unknown to most outside of the New York underground community Mia has been a firm supporter of Shelter since our doors first opened in 1991 both as a high spirited dancer and jazz infused dj.

Second to flow is Lil’ Ray, a great dj in his own right and true character, probably best known for his annual “Jamboree Parties†held in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Ray is another Shelter head from day one and can often be found spinning in the dj booth or working the lights for Timmy at the close of the night.

Closing out in the lounge will be Mixxologist aka Tyrone Francis, another NYC veteran, who has been a regular guest DJ on the underground circuit for the past 15 years, catching notoriety most recently for his own BKNY, continued residency at London’s Need2Soul Parties and as an up and coming music producer. Tyrone’s moniker as the Mixxologist stems from his lengthy mix style and editing skills.

The fun begins early evening in the main room with the un-veiling of Quentin Harris’ full length Lp/CD, simply entitled No Politics it is a reflection of Quentin’s view towards music and it’s creation, including performances from featured artists from the album Quentin will be playing an extensive house set demonstrating as to just what all the noise is about and preparing the room for the introduction of Sting International. Outside of producing the number 1 reggae artist Shaggy, Sting International is one of the few dj’s that can hold down the Shelter floor for the entire night during Timmy’s absence. Then it’s on to the Maestro himself Timmy Regisford, whose creative music selection and brave mixing style never ceases to drive the floor into an unequalled frenzy.

Aside of a superb DJ line-up Shelter are excited to be welcoming along the superb vocal talents of Byron Stingily, Monique Bingham, Colton Ford and Ambrosia who will perform live throughout the party.

With a strong representation of Shelter heads and club characters in attendance this years party looks set to introduce those previously unfamiliar to the true form, shape and experience of how they party at the Shelter NYC.
