This Thursday is a special Guest DJ Event with DJ Nick Warren!

Here is a bio for Nick Warren:

London, UK

Biography

Having strutted his stuff at many a student party in Bristol, Nick Warren decided to have a go himself. Establishing the South West's first balearic club 'Wiggle', his 'anything goes' approach to Djing soon landed him a residency upstairs at the massively popular mid week acid house bash 'Vision' where he continued to spin his alternative sound. Nick continued to spread the house word across the west before his first major media break came in '91 when he teamed up with several local bods (including Grant from Massive Attack) to set up the now legendary '98 Proof', where once more his balearic roots bore fruit as the boys mixed house beats back to back with the more laid back funk and hip hop so often associated with Bristol. Through his friendship with Grant, Nick thus began his longstanding and influential association with Massive Attack. Firstly Nick toured as resident DJ with the group throughout the USA promoting the debut LP. Soon after he was introduced to the recording studio where his first duties came somewhat by default when a Massive Attack remix of 'Les Negresses Vertes' was due, but the rest of the group were sick. Nick stepped in and the resulting mix sold over 25,000 copies and needless to say everybody loved it. This began what is proving to be a most successful career as a producer/remixer. Rapidly developing his studio skills Nick teamed up with local whizkid Jody to form 'Way Out West' - the result, 3 storming releases put out on their own label Terra Firma which in turn lead to record company interest which has culminated in the boys signing to Deconstruction. The first product was a remix package of the monstrous 'Montana'. Since then, they have released the classic 'Ajare' and more recently 'Domination'. The new single 'The Gift' is due for release this summer. Way Out West have been busy on the remix tip, doing the business on fellow Deconstruction artistes' Sasha and Harmonix, and also Marcella Detroit. As for the DJ'ing... well, Nick continues to play out and about every week. He was resident at the now-defunct 'Revolution', Lakota, Bristol on Fridays, and is now a regular at 'Cream', 'Golden', Stoke, 'Club UK' and the 'Ministry Of Sound', amongst others.

Eli Wilkie will also be spinning at this Event:

Boston, USA Biography

This DJ and producer hailing from Boston Massachusetts, has been spinning for the past six years in and around the New England area, shaking up dance floors with his rock, reggae and funk influenced selection of house and techno music. His versatility as a DJ landed Eli and long time friend Fernando Bairos a residency at Boston's underground Hibernia nightclub, in which he DJ'ed alongside the likes of Steve Porter, Luis Diaz, Paul Rogers, Chris Reavey and Podje (Ireland). This residency paved the way for gigs in Boston and beyond, as well as for his career as a producer. For almost three years now, Eli has been actively involved in production, creating a wide range of house and techno music working alongside his close friend Steve Porter. Together Eli Wilkie and Steve Porter created the alias 'Agent001'. The upbeat, bouncy and playful tracks under this alias have a unique sound, which was created through fusing the duos influences in music, and their ability to experiment with new ideas and themes. Tracks like 'When Pigs Fly', 'Bubblebath' and 'Daniel Wiggy' have had strong worldwide support by DJs such as Pete Tong, Sander Kleinenberg, Jimmy Van M, Lee Burridge and James Zabiela. Currently Eli has residencies in Boston, Montreal and New York City. This last year has been a busy one with Eli playing alongside Lee Burridge, John Graham and Sean Cusick, playing in such venues as Axis, Avalon, Stereo, Roxy and Sullivan Room.
