The Hastings, UK-based DJ/remixer/producer began his career as an opener at now famous club ?Bedrock? on Hastings Pier with John Digweed and Pete Tong. Now a headlining DJ in his own right, Howells was ranked #12 in DJ magazine?s annual poll of the world?s top DJ?s and is well known for his residency at Vinyl in New York.In addition to recognition as a headlining DJ, Howells is also gaining notoriety as a ground breaking producer and remixer. Past credits include remixes for the likes of Robbie Williams, BT, David Morales, Chakra and Ashtrax. With current studio partner, Dick Trevor, the duo, also known as Science Dept., released ?Repercussion/Persuasion? on Bedrock in 2000. Around the same time, Howells launched an inaugural CD on his own album series ?Nocturnal Frequencies? on Logic/BMG.Most recently, the production team signed an album deal with Renaissance.
