When and where is best to hear this type of music in NYC? In Europe, there are quite a few small, intimate clubs which specialise in this type of music. (My favorite is Mazzo in Amsterdam, if anyone cares. The End in London is also pretty damn great.) The crowd is always great at these places because only people who are really into the music tend to turn up. Are there any similar places in NYC?
