He set out DJing in Bali, Indonesia, but later launched his own magnetic event, Deeper Substance, during 2001 in London. His distinctive concept and its associated sounds have since attracted a strong following, with outstanding events held at the WMC in Miami for three consecutive years. During this time, the legendary Danny Tenaglia invited Demi on several occasions to DJ alongside him in New York and his most recent visit to London, which he did, as well as spinning around the globe from Ibiza to Brazil. On top of this, spell-binding performances at world reknowned venues such as Cavo Paradiso, Crobar NYC, Avalon, Warung in Brasil and at his Deeper Substance London residency among others have all not gone unnoticed He received two separate nominations for `Best Newcomer` and `Breakthrough DJ` at the 2004 DJ Pacha Awards and House Music Awards 2004. Deeper Substance has now evolved to include a label and Demi has been releasing his own music, including Gearbox and D-Drive in 2005 as well as remixing for Sunday Best and SexonWax Records. Expect a string of smashes to come from DEMI and Mr Toby Flowers. His DJ alliance with close friends Desyn Masiello and Omid16B has been gaining momentum since the first event thrown in 2004. 2006 marks SOSs third season, a year when their first SOS compilation mix CD will be unleashed on Ministry of Sounds Sessions series, summer 2006, and an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 that was broadcast over the WMC on Radio One has already been receiving critical acclaim and is tipped at this stage as a serious Essential Mix of the Year contender.
