obby
Attic is the first in a series of collaborations between singer / songwriter Julie Thompson (of Holden & Thompson fame) and Alan Bremner (of Brothers In Rhythm / Freefall / Loafer fame) and the end result is absolutely stunning.Lexicon Avenue have a long history of quality productions to their name with remixes of Seal,Depeche Mode, Dave Gahan and Chab to name a few as well as a host or original material on Satoshi’s SAW, Yoshitoshi and their own Forensic label. Lexicon Avenue have turned out a fantastic vocal mix utilizing the full song over haunting pads and infectious electronic sounds. Their dub is almost vocal free using only a key hook and is in a much deeper and darker vein, perfect for a proper club workout.Stel’s mix uses the full vocal and gives us a peek of summer with its beautiful laid back groove, shimmering chords and a picked guitar that gives the track a really uplifting vibe, reminding some people of Chicanes early work. Stel’s profile has really been on the ascendance with his original productions and recent remixes for Infusion, Polefolder and Kosmas Epsilon. Under the Group Therapy moniker (alongside Dave Seaman) he has worked on remixes of Bedrock “Santiago” and Gabriel and Dresden’s “Tracking Treasure down” as well as a whole host or original productions due out in 2006.We are under no illusion that this is destined for strong radio support and hope the track will fulfill its potential as a huge crossover track. I've supplied the Lexicon Avenue Vocal cut for my trance influenced peepsAttic feat Julie Thompson - Last Goodbye (Lexicon Avenue Vocal Mix) [Audio Therapy AT028]Sample Here
