weyes Posted August 1 Report Share Posted August 1 i went and had loads of fun, even though the day was hottttt. there were some interesting indoor exhibits, though, where i cooled off w/ my mom, who came to visit. the baked goods are always cool to look at, as well as the woodworking and the "carnival of products," where people try to sell you mops and crap . i only got a couple of not-so-good pics of the pie-eating contest, but here they are.they did it by age group, and it was "who could eat the piece of pie fastest," not "who can eat the most." i was bummed.for the youngest age group, they were putting the pie down in front of the kids, and one just started to eat; she didn't get the idea of the thing . so they stopped her, but when the contest started and everyone was cheering, all the kids just ate at a normal pace; none of them got that it was a race.after they had a winner, everyone was supposed to stand up, but the little one didn't understand, & just kept on eating:here are some older kids:and the adults: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
