weyes Posted August 2 Report Share Posted August 2 sheesh! i was supposed to get a crown months ago, but i just kept putting it off and chewing on the other side of my mouth. yesterday i was eating pistachios and the other side starting hurting, big time . now both my top back molars and lower back molars on both sides (that's all four corners) hurt, so i can't chew anywhere. it's so bad that, as of last night, brushing my teeth hurts .moral of the story: one shouldn't wait till it hurts to go. putting off getting a crown will pose risks, including one's chances of needing a root canal.weyes is not happy !!! weyes Posted August 5 Author Report Share Posted August 5 LOLA you are a strange one..I loved the dentist until they stopped giving me laughing gas...i've never gotten the gas... at a dentist .well, i went today and i told him which teeth were hurting me. he did the temp. crown (i have to go back for the permanent) and took some x-rays. i have 1 tooth that's bothered me for years but that no dentist wil touch, 'cause i've had a root canal on it and they say it's "impossible" for me to feel anything on it. i dunno what to do anymore about that one. but he dismissed a couple of the other bothersome ones, too. they're my teeth, i know which ones hurt!!! they just happened not to hurt today, when i was in the chair; they only hurt when i chew on them a certain way. if i had been eating there, they would've...anyway, he says i need a root canal on a tooth that DOESN'T hurt. go fig.i just wish the ones that hurt me would stop; that's all i want .
