Head Tunes and Marz Entertainment...

JAY WEST

Guesthouse ::: Flavour ::: Headtunes ::: Argentina

opening set by:

RYAN OBERMILLER (Red Door, Marz, Bump) Boston

Attracted by the sounds that were coming from the West coast of USA, Jay West built a very own unique style, making himself heard and earning quickly an important place in the internacional scene.

With solid productions that receive support and charting from a great variety of djs as Mark Farina, Hernán Cattaneo, Satoshie Tomiie, Iz & Diz, Jason Hodges, Inland Knights, Jay Tripwire, Tyler Stadius, Tony Hewitt , Jacob London, Grant Dell, Greg Vickers, and many others…, Jay West has become a very solicited name for the main labels in the business.

He was part of Miami’s Winter Music Conference in the last two years, showing his new material along with artists like Desyn Masiello, Joshua Collins, Dj Heather, Jay Tripwire, Asad Rizvi, Dan Berkson, Amir Javasoul, Dr Kucho, etc… and already toured around USA with shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Phoenix, Boston, etc…, and Mexico. Europe, Asia and Australia are scheduled for 2006! Paul has already performed in many countries and cities always carrying his particular style and his excellent dancefloor experience in his funky bag.

His sets are always funky, original and fun and have made thousands of people dance. He has been hosted in the most important radios and websites around the globe. He was also part of the Southamerican Music Conference (w/ Nick Warren, Dj Dan, Richie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Eddie Richards etc…) in Buenos Aires in december 2004 as a panelist directing production workshops and seminars, and performing as a dj in the most important parties in Southamerica (BUE Fest – Personal Fest).

Mainstream artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Jay Tripwire or Grant Dell have called him the most promising producer in southamerica, and his presence in the most important labels with more than 15 releases, prove it.

Jay also hosts his own radio show in FM101.9 Kosiuko Buenos Aires every Monday at 9PM (www.kskradio.net).

As Jay West he has produced a great variety of tracks and remixes signed by the most representative labels in the industry (see discography). He’s been remixed by heavy weights of house like Greenskeepers, Patrick Turner, Morgan Page, Swirl People, Army Of One, Dj Freestyle, etc…. He has also worked remixing lots of artists and bands.

He worked side to side collaborating with various producers always searching for originality and new sounds, teammates like Matt Shrewd (they both work as Pushin Boundaries), Diego Cid, Manuel Sahagún or CPM have made beats side to side with him.

In 2006 he has decided to take one more step forward and launch his own label FLAVOR RECORDS, based in UK and along with his partner, Matt Shrewd the first releases are highly expected for this year. Counting with an outstanding roster of artists like Toka Project, Jason Hodges, Pushin Boundaries or Da Sunlounge this label will quickly become an underground favourite.

2006 will be Jay's year since he has a really fat release schedule and plans to do another USA and Europe tour, be there & don't miss it!
