Clubplanet/Tunnel connection Fighting for it or Faking it?

Hmmmmmmm I am sorry but the only good thing about Tunnel on Sat was Russ Reign and JV. The crowd was tripping messes, or sucked and whythe hell were the club Abyss boys spinning in TUNNEL??? HELLO I am new to the board but I have 15 years experience of clubbign and music under my belt. The energy was cool I will give it that but only when not pushed up against by a sweaty shirtless guido. And question CLUBPLANET why such a ested interest in TUNNEL NOW??? Where were you when they were suffering withoutthe liqour I think someone has been bought out here?? Cuz honestly you know that TWILO had much better music. And that is you purpose to bring the best music and people to the events you promote with this sites name???

Sorry if I sound mean or bitchie but this is honestly a sincere inquiry.

Are you talking about Clubplanet the company or people on this message board?

If you are talking about the company. It is very simple. To be listed in the news letter that gets sent out each week the club has to pay, the second email that clubplanet sent out just about Tunnel this week was also paid for by Tunnel.

This is how the company works with all the clubs. So if Twilo were to pay they could get the same thing, however they do not need to because they draw a huge crowd with out having to pay for news letter placement.

Overall I do NOT agree with how the company works in terms of listing clubs however I understand where they are coming from (business perspective).

chill out oasis, there is no need to yell BTW... the ad you are talking about is spelled with 1 d.

If you look at it from a business stand point it is simple. They bartered for the newsletter. Rather than pay for it they put up the ad.

If you give me a couple days I could have much more detailed information if you want from one of my friends that works with clubplanet.

I think your wrong.. The intentions of the news letter is to promote their neumerous <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/" TARGET="_blank">guest lists</A> ..Tunnel just happend to have the biggest party this week, so I'm guessing they were trying to push their Tunnel list the hardest..I highly doubt clubs pay money to have their clubs listed in the clubplanet news letter.. I'm actually posative they dont.. Clubplanet would have put that extra news letter in there no matter what, just to raise their numbers on their <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/" TARGET="_blank">guest list</A> ..

As for the banner, I wasnt there, so I dunno anything about it..

All I can say is last I spoke with ClubPlanet (and from info from a friend) I know that the club/promoters pay to have their events put in the news letter. It is not much or anything.

If you do not believe me you could always just contact ClubPlanet and ask them

Hey guys, maybe I can put your arguement to rest. It costs nothing to be in the regular email. It is to promote lists we offer as well as cool parties that we hear of... ie. Touch party @Chaerla(no list there) or any parties @ Centro(no list there either). It also lets people know whats new on the site and all that.

Special mailers are offered to promoters for a set fee. As for <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/" TARGET="_blank">Guestlist</A> money, what promoter does not want to get paid for their work? Its only fair.

As for Twilo, we love them and they love us. If you look at the music section on the site, we have done pieces on most of their artists, Freeland and Pappa as of recent with Seaman in the works. We have <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/" TARGET="_blank">guestlists</A> there that average pretty high numbers so there are no complaints in that deptartment either.

Well said. I agree. Someone has pay so we all can use this board for free. Maybe soon clubplanet banners will be in every club. So everyone can see the service they are providing.

i like this board and i like ClubPlanet. i've saved $100s using the <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/" TARGET="_blank">guestlists</A> . i'm glad they keep it up and know how to run a business.

remember it is a business and will do things to make money. we are consumers of its products, so as with dealing with any other business-- buyer beware!
