weyes
ok, i gotta bring this up again, 'cause, even though i am really unlucky, it's out there...look at expiration dates when shopping. and just 'cause the date's ok doesn't mean the product hasn't expired.case in point: my pickle saga continues. i decided to go to another albertson's to see if they had the pickles that mine has that are always moldy now. yep, they had 'em, but they were all moldy, too. something is either wrong with that pickle plant or the distributor, or maybe albertson's is forgetting to keep them chilled in the back of the store. whatever. but this store had another brand of half-sours (these are what are so hard to find & why i'm going through all this trouble), so i got excited. i looked at the date on the cap: april, 2007. "maybe it's the packing date," i thought. but there were jars of full-sours from that brand that said feb, 2008. i pulled out all the half's jars, and they even had some that expired in 2006. these were not moldy, like the other brand (go fig), but i can guarantee that they were disgusting.anyway, all this to say, i know that most people never even look at dates. albertson's is even better than ralph's, vons, and arguably stater bros., and they've got shit on their shelves that expired last year. look, or you'll be responsible when you bite into something very scary .tune in tomorrow.
