weyes Posted December 29 Report Share Posted December 29 these may sound like no-brainers, but they bear stating since i see them every time i fly...wearing no metal is the way to go! that may not be entirely possible, as most pants/dresses/skirts have a zipper, but that generally doesn't set off a metal detector. i do happen to have one elastic-waisted skirt, though (no, it's not as hideous as it sounds ), and i wear that. people wearing belts seem surprised -and are annoyed - when they have to walk through the detector again, after taking them off . and even though most airports make you take off your shoes, some don't, so ditch the steel-toed boots, if you wear those. i keep my money/keys in the carry-on bag i send on the x-ray belt, so i don't have to empty change and other loose stuff in a bowl. nothing in your pockets and everything in your bag is the quickest, easiest method. i'm in & out in record time, every time, unless security wants to harass me, which is a good deal of the time; i guess they think my speed is suspect... but, no, it's efficient . rock out all, although you probably practice most, if not all of this stuff; have good flights!tune in tomorrow.
