weyes Posted January 11 Report Share Posted January 11 before asking a favor of someone, one should consider 2 important things:1) "am i in a position to ask a favor of this person?" consider how well you know the person. putting someone in an awkward position can strain relationships.2) "is this favor reasonable?" for instance, if you have never met your neighbor, asking him/her to walk your dog while you're away for a week is not a reasonable request.once again, this is a situation where the golden rule can guide a person. one should think of how s/he'd feel if the person asked him/her to do the same and s/he were in his/her place. i try to live always keeping empathy and respect in mind, and it makes things a whole lot easier .*tune in tomorrow.*it's also weyes' 2-word plan for world peace !
