t0nythelover Posted January 20 Report Share Posted January 20 i totally love movies, and i love nyc. cloverfield was an awesome way to bring the two together. its one thing to see nyc get smashed by a monster, but unlike most movies it actually realistically showed nyc for the most part. i totally recognized the bloomingdales entrance from the subway they walked into, and before they walked in i asked my friend "is that bloomingdales?" they also showed the building i used to work at, and a helicopter crashed into it which was cool. they showed that same building in i am legend too, by grand central terminal. i feel like nyc is finally getting some love in the movies, instead of studios filming in canada and pretending its nyc.now if only the cloverfield monster smashed some guidos coming out of a club that would have made my night lol!
