I am proud to present to you Catching up with Merlyn Martin - San Diego Sessions Vol. 1 - Blue 1995-1996. Vol.2 – Red 1996 (side A) These Volumes are digital conversion of my mix tapes from 1995-1996 called Merlyn "Blue" and “Redâ€. The enclosed recordings are from a 3 part series of promotional tapes called Blue, Red, and White which featured Progressive House/Acid Trance. - The first volume called "Blue" is a demo cassette tape that I produced at the end of 1995. It was a two sided cassette I believe both sides represents and tells a different story in it's own way as a good mixed tape is suppose to do. It has been called commercial; it’s been called art by some, crap by others. It is open to individual interpretation as all music should be. It means something different to every person who hears it. There was less than 500 copies of the Merlyn "Blue" cassette; it was circulated locally in the San Diego and Los Angeles area. It was a two sided cassette it is anything but perfect, but what it lacks technically at times was never able to be duplicated in feeling, and or vibe when attempting to rerecord. It is open to individual interpretation as all music should be, it means something different to every person who hears it. There was between 1000-2000 copies of the DJ Merlyn "Red" cassette, it was circulated locally in the San Diego and Los Angeles area.
