kove
Not by choice, but by necessity. When I go to a rave, especially with my crew, we're really bad about not telling each other what we plan to spin. Our musical interests are a lot alike, so it became important for us to bring A LOT of music. So far, that's the ONLY advantage that I see to spinning CD. Although cd players like the Denon 2600 do emulate a vinyl sound pretty well, you'll never beat the feel of a set of 1200's. On top of that, trance records are just asking to be spun on wax. ------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suhel
Not only that but also a lot of promos go around on cd as well, so more and more djs like myself are spinning house off cd these days. I will take the feel and control of vynil any day, however, but my back certainly won't!!! Also...what happens if the Denon (piece of shit...trust me I've repaired 3 of mine 1nce each, and it's expensive) breaks down in the middle of your set?? ------------------Not everybody understands house music. It's a spiritual thing...
kove
Well, of the CD players that I've owned, I'm liking the 2600's the best so far. If something happens, I have a set of Pioneer CDJ500's, as well. I always have a backup. ------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
