  1. I've been trying to get a hold of a few records desperately with no luck. I've tried satteliterecords and planetxusa already.
  2. If your familiar with protools, soundforge, acid, etc or hardware based equipment, and if your interested in remixing a tune and your from the LA area, please reply back. I've got the idea, I need your technical skills. It's an old european dance tune from the 80's. The tune can already hold up on it's own, it just need a more updated modern techy house feel. If interested, please reply back and give a brief description of your musical past. I don't want our point of view's and ideas clashing.

    HOW DO

Pep must like the vinyl's pop's and hissing. As a dj who spins vinyl and cd's, I have an advantage, you know what it is? Not only do I have my record bag, but I probably have your entire record bag on cd's. A dj is only as good as the contents of his records, and if other dj's already have the records you have, what good are you? Especially for the dj's with bad taste. think about it PEPPY.

    HOW DO

Yes I am a dj. Why do I think your ignorant? It's simple, You think using cd's will automatically beat match for you. You still gotta find the beat match and ride it on occasion just like vinyl.

    HOW DO

clubmanxtc, You are so fookin ignorant. you think cd decks will just automatically beat match for you? It's the same thing as turntables. And to the person who thinks records sounds the best. Your either deaf or so narrow minded with turntables that your fooling your own ears. Who the heck would prefer the hissing and pops over no hissing and pops. Oh your talking about the warm that turntables produce right? well who the heck can tell? I spin both cd's and vinyl and your only short changing yourself by beiing narrowminded. It's all about what's coming out of the speakers. Most anyone can learn how to dj in time, but not every dj have good taste in music, whatever genre it may be. I quote Clubmanxtc, "just pressing a button", don't ever say that to anyone els cuz you sound so stupid. [This message has been edited by hansa (edited 02-27-2001).]
  6. check out the sunbeam remix of "exploration of space". I like "melt to the ocean" better myself. But two top tunes on one 12", GRAB IT!!!
  7. heck yeah! What did you expect from Cosmic Gate? These german trancer's have been making kick ass quality tunes for a long time.
  8. or your could be talking about Santos-Camels, great tune, go straight for the remixes.
  9. Your talking about Mauro Picotto-Arabian Pleasure, it's a bit old, but still good. I wanted to purchase it last week but the last one they had was warped. I hate buying warped records.
  10. this is a long shot I'm gonna give it a shot. The cable tv channel "showtime" used this one trance tune to advertise it's movie line-up. I've heard of the tune and I even have it but it's somewhere in my room and it's gonna take me forever to locate it. Does anyone know the artist/title of that tune?
  11. have you checked out Cosmic Gate-Fire Wire? Dj Scott f remixed that also. check out other stuff by cosmic gate, not as hard as scott f but similar in style, very minimalistic.
  12. "this is my moment, this is my precious moment, with you" Is that the way it goes? female voice right? I got the tune Id, Let me go home and check, I'll reply back tonight.

    Mixer/

Oops, when you said "numark" I automatically thought of 300 dollar range. Well in that case, your looking for a 500 to 700 dollar range right, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT, GO FOR THE PIONEER DJM500, you can get one for probably 650-700 bucks brand new. and if you have more of a scratch battle mixer in mind, just about anything will do, check out the gemini the new UMX series, I heard alot of good stuff about it. I got the djm600 and I wouldn't use no other mixer. [This message has been edited by hansa (edited 11-03-2000).]
