weyes Posted June 15 Report Share Posted June 15 when one visits a city, state, or country with a culture that has different things to offer than his/her hometown - usually anyplace over a certain distance away - it is to one's great benefit to take advantage of these cultural differences. but this also means that, not only should one eat the different foods and experience cultural events, one should do some research and find out where the best of everything can be found. it is a waste to travel across the country and just eat the same old stuff that can be found anywhere and/or to shop at lame tourist traps. for example, visiting southern california from the northeast without eating mexican food is a tragedy !!!tune in tomorrow.
