Mark your calendars, because the retaking of Manhattan will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2009, and mark these words: this city will never be the same again.Call it a takeover, if you will, because the 2009 VMAs will have performances staged all over Manhattan including in the storied Radio City Music Hall where we popped our Moonman cherry way back in 1984. After that one, we were surprised they'd have us back, but they did. So did New York City. In fact, 2009 will mark the 14th time that Gotham will serve as the backdrop for the VMAs.We are looking for thousands of people to be a part of all kinds of performances and special elements of this year's MTV Video Music Awards.1. PIT FANS - We are casting the craziest, most energetic fans for THE PIT. That's right, you could be one of the lucky people watching the show from inside the stage right next your favorite artists and celebrities!2. SUPER FANS - We are casting hundreds of Russell Brand Fans and giving them some of the best real seats in the house. One condition, you must be up on your feet, rocking out every time there is a performance!3. STAGE FANS - We are casting 100 high energy fans to be on stage during the show. You heard us, 100 lucky people will actually be a part of this year's backdrop for the entire show!4. SEAT FILLERS - We are casting hundreds of people to be "seat fillers." You're the people that fill in the featured camera seats when the artists, celebrities and ticket holders are temporarily away from their seats. It's like musical chairs but you might just wind up in some of the best seats in the house!5. TAYLOR SWIFT PERFORMANCE - We are casting a small number of fans to be a part of an intimate Taylor Swift performance. If you are a fan, make sure to watch for this event. We will be looking for her true fans so let us know we would should cast YOU for this performance.6. THE MUSE PERFORMANCE - We are casting hundreds of Muse fans for a special remote performance during the VMA's. Here is the cool thing: The Muse will play an entire set for just for you guys.7. PRE-SHOW FANS - We are casting all you red carpet loving fans. We will be looking for hundreds of people that want to cheer on the nominees, artists and celebrities as they make their entrance into Radio City Music Hall.
