weyes
as soon as one receives his/her w-2, it would behoove him/her to put it in a file marked "taxes 2009" and put that file in his/her desk or file cabinet. if this is not what one usually does with one's w-2, this is especially a good idea, as those who are accustomed to misplacing their w-2s often ask other people where they think these documents may have run off to. a responsible person being asked this question may reply, "is it in a file in your desk?" and then receive the look of death from the irresponsible party, who is used to crumpling it up and putting in his/her jeans or getting it lost under the couch cushions.so, even if one forgets that s/he has created a file for his/her w-2, when s/he asks a friend where the w-2 might have been placed, the friend just might lead him/her to it anyway .tune in tomorrow.
