Guest web_norah
Written by: Heather Monley“Fahrenheit 9/11†breaks British box-office records. Now that “Fahrenheit 9/11†has been in U.S. theaters for a couple weeks and Michael Moore hysteria is cooling down in the states, the film is starting to open internationally and it’s breaking box-office records all over again. The controversial documentary opened in British theaters on Friday and made 1.3 million GBP over the weekend. That broke the record in Britain for the biggest opening weekend for a documentary, and it looks like “Fahrenheit 9/11†will probably become Britain’s highest grossing documentary. The film opened on 132 screens and has been given standing ovations by numerous audiences. In the United States, the film has so far grossed $80 million, but it has also attracted a great deal of anger and criticism from conservatives who object to its left-wing agenda. The film shows George W. Bush to be a bumbling president with interests in oil and ties to the Saudi royal family, and Moore hopes that it will make Americans vote out Bush in November. http://thecelebritycafe.com/features/1660.html
