Guest pod Posted July 22 Report Share Posted July 22 I wouldn't consider them die-hard housers. The biggest house fans I know acknowledge that trance is a valid form of dance music. I'm gonna put someone on display here, so forgive me....in my mind, the biggest house fan on here is Lyrik, and though he may not like trance, he has given nods in the direction of the genre when appropriate...something to the effect of "I don't like trance, but Groove Eric is a technically proficient DJ and spins it well..." The people that get me are the music nazis so to speak. Maybe it is due to my job, but I'm equally at home at an event with Paul Van Dyk, as I am at home at an event with someone like Roger Sanchez or Nic Fanciulli, or Stryke, or even the crop of good local drum n bass DJs. Well, maybe it is my rampant alcoholism...but if that was the case, I'd be at hip hop events since the Cristal flows there...but still, I can't see how these purists advocate their position.
