Guest saintjohn
here's my favorite quote from that article:"In other words, according to the commission report, Mr. Berger was presented with plans to take action against the threat of Al Qaeda four separate times — Spring 1998, June 1999, December 1999, and August 2000. Each time, Mr. Berger was an obstacle to action. Had he been a little less reluctant to act, a little more open to taking pre-emptive action, maybe the 2,973 killed in the September 11, 2001, attacks would be alive today." Guest Daljo628
*sigh*why oh why couldnt they have nabbed him when they gad the chance? Was Bin Laden down Berger's Pants along with all those papers?now, im not saying that would have necessarily prevented 9/11, hindsight being 20/20 and whatnot, but to pass up taking out one of, if not the, most notable terrorist figures in the world four times, seems a bit hard to swallow. And MM says Bush was being nice to bin-laden? what the heck about the clinton administration?and MM blames the patriot act squarely on Bush?? now im not Bush's greatest fan, but that aint right. it was originally put into motion by a president known as William Jefferson Clinton.
